Alex is a consultant psychiatrist and has an interest in mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, the mental health of those suffering significant medical illness, and patients in the perinatal period.  He uses both medication and psychotherapeutic interventions.

Alex studied medicine at the University of Sydney.  He undertook his junior medical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, before continuing into psychiatry training at the same hospital and in the Sydney Local Health District.

His advanced training focussed on adult psychiatry, psycho-oncology, perinatal psychiatry and psychotherapy.  Within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, Alex is involved with the Faculty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Faculty of Psychotherapy and the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry.  

As well as seeing patients in private practice, he also works  at Royal North Shore Hospital.
