Consultant Psychiatrist 

Alex is a consultant psychiatrist and has an interest in mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, the mental health of those suffering significant medical illness, and patients in the perinatal period.  He uses both medication and psychotherapeutic interventions.

Alex studied medicine at the University of Sydney.  He undertook his junior medical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, before continuing into psychiatry training at the same hospital and in the Sydney Local Health District.

His advanced training focussed on adult psychiatry, psycho-oncology, perinatal psychiatry and psychotherapy.  Alex has attained RANZCP Certificates of Advanced Training in the Psychotherapies and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.  

As well as seeing patients in private practice, he also works  at Westmead Hospital as a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist.
