Stephen has more than forty years of clinical experience in psychiatry dealing with a wide range of problems. 

He is a graduate of Sydney University and completed his psychiatry training in Sydney and Adelaide.  He has worked in Sydney, Canberra and London.  He has directly cared for patients in both private practice and hospital settings  and also has a research and academic background. Beyond his medical and psychiatric  qualifications he has post graduate qualifications in research and in philosophy.

Stephen has had extensive experience in most aspects of adult psychiatry and a long interest in severe psychiatric disorders and in disorders of attention and the emotional and relationship difficulties that accompany these disorders.

He brings a problem-oriented, theory-sceptical approach to practice.
